What to tell us for an accurate price
Four things get you a firm figure rather than a range. What is going, roughly room by room, including the loft, the shed and the garage if they are coming too. Where it is going from and to. Which floor at each end, and whether there is a lift. And whether a van can get near the door at both addresses, which in Bath is the single thing most likely to change the number.
A couple of photos of the bulky items help more than a long description. If you are unsure about the parking at either end, say so rather than guessing, and we will check the restrictions for the street before we quote.
What happens after you send it
We read it and come back within the hour during working hours with one fixed price for the job, not an hourly rate and not an estimate that firms up later. If anything in your description needs clarifying we will ask before quoting rather than pad the number to cover the uncertainty.
There is no obligation attached to any of it. If the figure does not work for you, that is a perfectly reasonable answer and we will not chase you about it.
Why there is no phone number
Because a number nobody answers is worse than none at all. We are usually carrying something heavy up a staircase, which is a bad time to take a call and a worse time to quote a job properly. Everything comes through the form or by email instead, and it gets a considered reply rather than a rushed one.
If you would rather write to us directly, we are at quotes@vanandmanbath.co.uk. We work mon to sun, 7am to 9pm.
