Terraces with room for the van
Much of Twerton is terraced and low-rise, so parking and access tend to be kinder than the centre. That usually lets us bring the van closer and load faster, though we still plan around the busier stretch of the Lower Bristol Road so the van is not stuck in traffic.
Handy for moves out to Bristol
On the west side of Bath, a fair share of Twerton moves run out towards Keynsham and Bristol. We are well placed for those and can quote the whole door-to-door trip rather than leaving you to sort the far end.
First moves in, and the run out to Bristol
Twerton does two distinct jobs in the city. It is where a lot of people buy their first place in Bath, priced out of the centre but wanting to stay, and it is the side of town you leave from when work takes you to Bristol. We do both regularly, and they are not the same move at all.
A first purchase tends to be a light load and a tight budget, often a one bed's worth of furniture and rather more boxes than the owner expected. A move out to Bristol is a longer day with the drive built in, though the A4 and the Keynsham road from this side of Bath make it one of the easier runs out of the city. Either way the parking here is kinder than almost anywhere else in Bath, which takes the most unpredictable variable out of the quote.
